Child Rights Calendar Celebrates the New Year by Pro Bono Australia News.

To celebrate the new year and help engage children in learning about their rights and responsibilities, United Nations' child rights organisation UNICEF Australia has produced a 2013 downloadable calendar.

The free Child Rights Calendar includes key dates such as International Women's Day, National Volunteer Week and World Humanitarian Day.

UNICEF Australia says that the calendar is ideal for the classroom or home but could also assist youth group leaders and humanitarian or child focussed workplaces across the country.

The calendar also features the artwork of UNICEF's youth engagement officer Mia Cox who has illustrated children who represent the United Nations' 12 child rights.

Do you have two minutes to help mental health research?

The Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre is working hard to develop new treatments for mental illness. As a part of our research, we are trying to better understand what kind of depression treatments the Australian public would like to have available to them, and what kind of antidepressant therapies are being offered when they first seek treatment.

If you are an Australian citizen or resident, we would be very grateful if you would help us by completing a short survey. We are interested in everyone's thoughts and want to hear from people who have not experienced depression, as well as those who have.
