How long is the counselling appointment?
Each consultation is 50 mins; additional or intensive sessions are available by appointment.

How much is the Medicare Rebate for each counselling session?
If eligible, the Medicare Rebate is $ 85.20 Per Session.

Do I/we need to pay upfront for the counselling session and then obtain the Medicare rebate?
Yes, you are required to pay for each counselling session at each consultation.

How do I/we obtain the Medicare rebate?
There are several ways to have your Medicare rebate processed. This may include presenting the receipt at a Medicare office or accessing the online services. Contact Medicare for further information.

Do you provide reports for services?
Yes, brief email correspondence with services such as Justice and Children protection programs etc., GP update reports are provided for free as part of your support needs.  However, complete and full reports incur additional fees.

Do I need to pay, if I am a bulk billed client?
No, this service is funded by Medicare if eligible; a GP referral and recommendation for bulk billing services due to financial distress must be provided.

Do I need a referral to obtain the Medicare Rebate?
Yes, your Medical practitioner, either a GP, Psychiatrist or Pediatrician must provide a referral letter and relevant management plan.

Does the referral need to be made to the counsellor/social worker/allied health clinician?
Yes, for eligible Medicare services, the referral letter is required to be addressed to Allied Health Medicare provider, for example; Orana Health Services, Ms Tracey Petersen-Esposito. 

I have used eligible Medicare services referred by my Medical Practitioner with a previous counsellor/allied health/ social worker; do I require a new referral to Orana Health Services, Allied Health provider?
